Kotka Ecoport- Optimising the future

The Port of Kotka wishes to be a forerunner in the consideration of environmental as well as safety and security aspects at an as early phase of the relevant process as possible. Ports work as nodes, combining several players. The indirect impacts of ports are considerably broader than the impacts on the immediate area of operation. In order to anticipate the future environmental challenges and to better respond to the needs of its stakeholders, the Port of Kotka is launching the Ecoport project. Ecoport is part of the EcoKotka project of the City of Kotka.
